KAI & Academic Research

KAI is backed up by more than 45 years of academic research

KAI originated from Dr Kirton’s research into problem-solving style at Hertfordshire University (formerly Hatfield Polytechnic) in the UK, and our academic heritage is very important to us.

KAI is the subject of more than 400 PhD Theses and Learned Articles. For our Publication List, please click here.

We continue to value all academic research using KAI, and we welcome proposals for theses and articles.

If you would like to use KAI in your research, you will need to have your project supervised by an Accredited KAI Practitioner. If you do not know any KAI Practitioners, we can put you in touch with one.

You will need to send us details of your proposed project, with contact details for your course supervisor.

An academic discount of 40% on KAIs is available for approved projects. KAIs will have to be purchased by your KAI Practitioner, and we will supply an eductaional discount code to them.
